Mindfulness Moments at Saybrook University

Acupressure: A Physical and Energy Medicine Self-Care Solution February 12, 9am to 10am PT. Dr. Ruthann Russo

This workshop is an hour workshop from our Mindfulness Moments program.  It will also be recorded and posted on the Saybrook Self-Care YouTube channel.  Dr. Russo is an adjunct faculty member and also an MBM graduate. We highly recommend it! Spread the word–it is open to all.

  • In this workshop, we will review the theory and science of Traditional Chinese Medicine and how it is applied in acupuncture and acupressure practices. We discuss mechanisms of action, how acupressure taps into the wisdom of the body, and practice 3 different ways to provide self-acupressure.
  • In the experiential part of the workshop, you will learn and practice acupressure for improved sleep, stress management, anxiety, and improved focus. We will close with an ear acupressure practice and a discussion of how to use acupuncture and acupressure to enhance a sense of community.
